METHODOLOGY AND INTEGRITY
How the Hostinger case file handles originals, public redactions, hashes, timestamps, later corrections, unknowns and strategic forensic material.
The public case file is a curated evidence publication, not a dump of every private artifact. Its purpose is to preserve chronology, distinguish fact from opinion, expose meaningful corrections and make the material auditable without disclosing source code, credentials, personal identifiers or strategically sensitive forensic correlations that are not required for the public point being made.
Originals are preserved separately
Public exhibits may be resized or redacted for privacy and security, but the underlying originals are kept separately where available. Public presentation changes are not treated as substitutes for the original evidence object.
Hashes are used where they add identity, not decoration
A hash is useful when it establishes that two independently preserved files are identical or when it anchors a specific evidence object. Hashes that would expose strategic correlations or proprietary relationships can remain private until publication is necessary.
Timestamps remain as recorded
Where scanner UI, quarantine records, audit records and backups show different times, the case file reproduces those times with their source. They are reconciled only when the record itself establishes a reliable conversion or relationship.
Later corrections do not overwrite earlier statements
When Hostinger corrects or withdraws an earlier account, both versions remain visible in chronological order. This makes the evolution of the explanation inspectable and prevents retrospective rewriting of what the customer was told at each stage.
Unknown remains unknown
The site uses explicit unresolved labels when the material does not establish a cause, intention, lifecycle meaning or procedural status. It does not convert a missing answer into an accusation and does not invent technical explanations that would favour either side.
Public transparency does not require publishing every forensic detail
Credentials, server identifiers, personal data, proprietary source archives, internal legal strategy and selected forensic correlations are withheld when they are unnecessary to prove the public point or when publication would create a security or strategic disadvantage. The complete private evidence package can therefore be broader than the public case file.
